Prepreg

Carbon Express materials are general purpose, epoxy resin prepregs with medical, sporting goods, industrial manufacturing and marine applications. The unidirectional prepreg is a 250°F to 300°F cure, semi-toughened, controlled flow epoxy resin system. Versatile processing, excellent mechanical properties and long out-life make it suitable for a variety of applications. We currently carry carbon fiber pre-impregnated with epoxy resin, in a bidirectional woven twill fabric of 50” width, and unidirectional prepreg 300 grams per square meter.

(1) Bidirectional woven 3K 2x2 twill fabric of 50” width (5.7oz or 200g/sq m dry fiber weight),
(2) Unidirectional 300 grams per square meter and 12”-19" wide
(3) Epoxy adhesive film, or 'resin' is available by the square foot (12" x 12" sheets) or larger.

Two thicknesses available- one thick for total saturation of materials, and one thin as 'sandwich' adhesive. Prepreg can be immediately shipped in pre-cut 6 sq foot sheets (resin 1 sqft sheet) or whole rolls. Prepreg and adhesive film (resin) require overnight or refrigerated shipping.
